Yamato is a contemporary Japanese Sushi restaurant located in Edinburgh. This interior fit out showcased our joinery skills, and in particular our cnc router machining capabilities.
The restaurant interior has a typically restrained Japanese palette of materials comprising lightly stained oak panelling and screens. The screens evoke the Japanese Shoji screen along with a traditional ‘post and beam’ arrangement to articulate a sequence of spaces giving a more private dining experience. These spaces are further delineated by cnc routered timber panels, providing privacy and visual interest.
Our work here extended to provision of lighting and fixed seating and loose tables. The space is a true representation of our capabilities in high quality joinery manufacturing and craftsmanship.
