Located off Frederick Street in Edinburgh, Rabble represents our new refurbishment of Ricks Bar and Hotel on behalf of Montpeliers Edinburgh Ltd. Once again, acting as Main Contractor on the project, Francey Limited were responsible for the full refurbishment of the entire bar, restaurant and hotel.
The project involved a full strip out of the entire existing bar and restaurant, including major structural alterations to open the space and improve visual flow and enable a repositioning of the bar to the central hub of the space. All managed by Francey Limited.
Completely clad in birch faced ply, the new light interior showcases the signature bar at its centre. The bar is lozenge shaped, clad in brass shingle with a polished concrete counter. The result is a welcoming, visually clean bar that improves customer and staff interaction.
Many of the items on display were manufactured by Francey Limited, including the signature bottle display wall on entry, all perimeter display shelving and all fixed seating and upholstery. The glazed courtyard to the rear is characterised by a beautiful marble mosaic floor, deep booth seating and a forest of planting in signature planters – all manufactured, supplied and installed by Francey Limited.
Our work also extended to the soft refurbishment of all bedrooms. Lime washed oak veneered wall panelling and engineered flooring with sensitive scandinavian furniture and dressing items, gives the new bedrooms a restrained assured luxury.
This complex unapologetic refurbishment of one of Edinburgh’s premier destinations represented a challenging and engaging project for Francey Limited, demonstrating our ability to undertake difficult and comprehensive projects whilst maintaining our high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
